There are several reasons why you might not be able to open an image. Look at the image's extension (last 3 letters of the filename), then follow the instructions below for that format.
JPG, GIF, EPS, or WMF
Two possibilities:
- You double-clicked the image instead of opening it within an application.
- Your application doesn't support this image format.
Check your application's help documentation to see what formats it accepts, then open the file in a different app if necessary. If none of your software supports the file, try converting it.
PS
For some reason, Explorer occasionally downloads EPS images with the extension .ps - rendering the image unreadable on PCs. If you rename your file, inserting an e at the beginning of the extension, the problem will be fixed.
